More than 4.15 lakh students are not taking HSC and equivalent exams

Dhaka Education Board officials say that it is worrying that such a large number of students are not taking the exam at the same time. When asked about this, Khandokar Ehsanul Kabir, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, told Prothom Alo that it is already seen that the rate of student dropout increases as students move up to higher classes. One of the reasons for this dropout at the SSC and HSC levels is poverty and students getting married. After passing SSC, many students enter the workplace. This is also another major reason for dropout.
